I was the Labour County Councillor for Mile Cross.
Mile Cross is an area to the North of the City and stretches from the peripheral of the city centre to the boundary with its suburbs. I also had a primary role for my political group, which is, leading the scrutiny of Children’s Services for young people. Including the money spent directly on schools, this represents nearly half of Norfolk’s £1b annual budget.
For support in this role I called on the collaboration of my wife, our three children and four grandchildren.
